February 23, 2020 –  DMatsunaga FA rallied in the second half to defeat Tondo FC, 4-2, to stay undefeated in the Premier Division at the AIA Philam Life 7s Football League Manila Match Day 3.

The game started with Tondo FC’s Roberto Olandez and Hector Zahgi of DMatsunaga FA trading goals as the half ended with a tie, 1-1.

In the second half, DMatsunaga FA scored three straight goals from the 29th to 40th-minute mark before Melvic Pitogo scored one for Tondo FC.

With this win, DMatsunaga FA is on top of the Premier Division standings with a 3-0 record.

“Most of us we play futsal so that’s why we know how to do movement, we know the movement and the rotate during the match and most of our player they are experienced like they played for PFL or the UFL before or Philippine League,” credited Mehdi Soltani of DMatsunaga FA on their three-game winning streak.

“I think we have a good chance of becoming champions for this,” he adds.

Still, this team seeks perfection as they still find some chinks in their armor. Soltani believes that this team has not yet reached its potential together especially that the team has yet to compete with a full roster.

“If you have seen like even today most of our players today they are not coming they are not complete this week,” said Soltani. “I think we need to have to play together more as a practice at least once a week we need to practice and that’s what we are doing now.”
